Culinary Workshop with Chef in Hanoi
Guided market visit, individual cooking station, fresh ingredients, recipe booklet, and tasting lunch.

This immersive day in Vietnam's thousand-year-old capital pairs the art of Tonkinese gastronomy with the discovery of the country's cultural and ethnographic treasures.
After selecting fresh herbs and aromatic spices at Hang Be Market alongside a local chef, you will learn to prepare refined traditional recipes. The afternoon continues with an exploration of the renowned Vietnam Museum of Ethnology and the age-old folk art of water puppetry.
Your morning is dedicated to a culinary awakening in a celebrated restaurant within the Old Quarter of the 36 Guild Streets. Set off with your chef for a guided stroll through Hang Be Market, a historic landmark famous for the freshness and variety of its produce. Learn to identify the aromatic herbs, edible roots, and spices that define the subtle elegance of northern Tonkinese cuisine.
Returning to the cooking workshop, roll up your sleeves to prepare iconic specialties: crafting golden crispy spring rolls (Nem Ran) and grilling fish delicately wrapped in banana leaves. Around midday, sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor in a warm, convivial lunch.
In the afternoon, travel by private vehicle to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, a premier institution showcasing more than 25,000 art objects, traditional costumes, and full-scale open-air vernacular dwellings representing Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups.
To crown the late afternoon, attend an enchanting performance at the water puppet theatre, an ancestral performing art born in the flooded rice paddies of the Red River Delta. Enjoy an evening at leisure to experience the vibrant night atmosphere of Hanoi's pedestrian lanes.
Full-day private excursion. Lunch included.
Travel Log
Selected moments to experience the landscapes, encounters, and rhythm of this itinerary.
