Highlights

  • •Contemplative rowboat navigation along the Yen River
  • •Cable car ascent and visit to the sacred Huong Tich Cave Pagoda
  • •Meeting artisans in a traditional silk or bamboo weaving village

Meet your French-speaking guide at your hotel in Hanoi and depart around 08:30 by private vehicle toward My Duc district. Arrive at Duc Pier to embark on a traditional rowboat, gliding gently along the serene Yen River flanked by majestic karst cliffs and water lilies.

Disembark at the historic Thien Tru Pagoda (Kitchen of Heaven) complex, exploring its century-old bell towers and courtyard shrines. Take the modern cable car ascending through lush forest canopy up to Mount Huong Tich. Descend into the vast natural cavern of Huong Tich Pagoda, an ancient place of worship dedicated to Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, adorned with natural stalactites evoking golden coins and dragons. Free time for lunch in the valley.

In the afternoon, gently row back to the pier and re-board your vehicle. On the way back to Hanoi, stop at a celebrated artisanal village — either Van Phuc (renowned for centuries-old silk weaving) or Phu Vinh (famous for fine bamboo and rattan craft). Return to your Hanoi hotel in the late afternoon.
