From Saigon to the Shores of Phu Quoc — 7 Days

From Saigon to Phu Quoc, this one-week journey across southern Vietnam follows the transition from dynamic urban life to the lush waterways of the Mekong Delta and tropical island shores. Landmark colonial facades in Ho Chi Minh City, the Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine, and the historic Cu Chi tunnels introduce diverse chapters of history: metropolitan culture, ancestral healing knowledge, and wartime subterranean life.

In the delta, exploration takes place at various paces. A boat sails to the coconut groves of Mo Cay; quiet rural paths are discovered by bicycle or motorized xe loi, before entering shaded arroyos aboard small hand-rowed sampans. On An Binh Island, a welcoming homestay evening invites you to participate in preparing dinner with your hosts. The following morning, Cai Rang floating market provides a vivid look at riverborne commerce.

After returning to Saigon and flying to Phu Quoc, two full days remain free. Walking along the coast, enjoying tropical beaches, or simply relaxing: this final stage leaves each traveler free to set their own rhythm without set tour schedules.
